Oliver Hazard Perry: Training Manual

I redesigned the training manual for the SSV Oliver Hazard Perry, Rhode Island’s official tall ship. Trainees use it on board to learn seamanship, safety, maritime history and marine science, so I broke the technical sailing content into clear diagrams and step-by-step pages they can follow on deck, not just read in a classroom.

Oliver Hazard Perry: Self-Guided Deck Tour

The ship needed a better way to show visitors around when no crew member was free to give a tour. I designed a double-sided, placemat-sized deck map that walks visitors around the ship on their own, stop by stop.

Deck tour takes the visitor through and below the ship's deck. Each station describes how the crew lives, and the parts of the boat that are unique to tall ships.

Careful consideration was made to describe the history of the ship and Rhode Island's commitment to its maritime community.

Now present in multiple cities in across four time zones in North America, the movement is using a simple sense of accountability, to motivate and encourage people of all ages, shapes, sizes and fitness levels to get out of their beds and get moving.

November Project Summit is the annual congregation of ALL November Project cities, their members, and their leaders from across the globe. The infographic was used to summarize the weekend for all November Project groups.
